Decatur Township Civilian Merit Board

In 2004 the Decatur Township Board passed a resolution that allowed the Decatur Township Fire Department to create a merit system for its full time sworn employees under Indiana Code 36-8-3.5. Decatur Township Fire Department established a civilian merit board that now oversees hiring, promotions, demotions and separation of employment.
